Land of roar means Jim Corbett, Corbett uses a sixteen seater bus for a day visit in the DHIKALA region, Which is known as Dhikala Canter Safari of Jim Corbett National Park. You can cover the entire DHIKALA Zone on a sharing basis Dhikala Canter Safari in just four to six hours. Because jeep safaris can’t be done for a day visit in Dhikala, for that night stay is compulsory for the forest lodge built there. Due to the limited room, many interested peoples are deprived of moving there.
Canter safari takes place in two shifts daily, which runs in the morning and evening like jeep safari. The duration of which is six hours instead of four hours. There is a provision for Safari of 64 people in one shift in four canters. Mean 16 people can go to a canter safari and 64 people in four canters.
Dhikala Jungle Safari Booking can be done under the online booking process for a maximum of 45 days in advance. Dhikala day visit Canter Safari is a useful option for those people who are unable to arrange a booking to stay Dhikala. One can visit Dhikala by booking an online permit at cheap rates. The charge for visiting for Dhikala Canter Safari is 1500 per person.
Some people don’t want to spend the night resting in the Lodges built inside Corbett due to the rest, due to which the administration has kept the option of Canter Safari there. That is why you can stay in any of the private resorts or hotels and eat, drink and enjoy Dhikala in just four hours by taking a canter safari.

1: Day visit to all zones are strictly regulated as per the scientifically calculated carrying capacity and only a limited number of vehicles are permitted entry during each morning and afternoon.
2: Permits for day visits to the Sonanadi Ecotourism zone can be obtained from the visitor reception center located at Kotdwar.
3: Permits for day visits to other zones are available online on our website.
4: Visitors are advised to acquaint themselves with gate timings and arrive well before the designated time to avoid any inconvenience.
5: Private vehicles are ‘not’ allowed entry for tourism purposes into the park and visitors use specially designed vehicles, registered with CTR for this purpose. Day visits to the Dhikala Ecotourism Zone are permitted only through the specially designed Canter buses via Ramganga Conducted Tours.
6: Visitors can also enjoy elephant rides at Bijrani and Dhikala ecotourism Zone, which is available on ‘First come, first get’ basis.
