About Jhirna Zone Of Jim Corbett National Park
One of the oldest zones in Jim Corbett Park is Jhirna Zone. Because of its large area, the four-hour jungle safari is good fun to do with gypsy (4/4 Maruti Suzuki Jeep), in which there is a chance to see the wild animal. According to the Park Administration, 30 Gypsy morning shifts in the Jhirna zone and 30 Gypsy evening shifts are allowed to visit by registered Gypsies (Jeep). Whose booking starts in the 30-day advance period as part of the online process.
Jim Corbett’s Jhirna Zone has a large population of tigers and a dense forest mixed and grasslands to hunt, natural water halls for water, monsoon river. All the facilities available to the Tiger survive in the Jhirna Zone.

JHIRNA(FRH)
Jhirna FRH is located on the southern boundary of the Corbett Tiger Reserve and may be approached from the Dhela entry gate. Vegetation here is drier and mostly shrub. It was a farming land till the villages (Dhara, Jhirna and Kothirau) were relocated in 1994 under Project Tiger. Jhirna Jungle Safari By Jeep ( Gypsy )
Jhirna Jeep Safari can be done using the registered jeeps. Taking registered nature guides is mandatory during the safari. Booking for Jeep Safari in Jhirna Zone starts 45 days in advance. Limited number of jeep safaris are allowed
Chaurs (Grass Lands)
The Jhirna zone has large grasslands which are known as Laldhang. This is a very good place for hunting usually tigers selects these grasslands to hunt.
The terrain consists of large open grasslands, popularly known as Chaur. Its topography is mainly dry deciduous type with secondary forest. There are numerous natural streams inside the area. The stream beds are warm and accessible for exploring. There are cliff edges along with the streams, which can prove to be a good spot for bird watching.
One of the best places to spot tigers in their natural habitat, this is a must visit zone for the wildlife enthusiasts.
